Should the College Students Choose the Subjectby Themselves
Most courses in universities and colleges todayare compulsory, however, there are a few coursesthat are optional. Despite its small percentage,optional courses have given rise to the questionwhether college students should choose their courses at their own wills.
As far as I am concerned, I think college students should be encouraged to choosecourses they are interested in. As the saying goes, "Interest is the best teacher". Students willcertainly study more efficiently the subjects they willingly choose than the ones they areforced to choose. What’s more, because the subjects they choose are no longer a burden, theymay become more active in the study concerned.
So I incline to say that colleges and universities should set up more optional courses forstudents to choose.

Dear Sirs,
I’m sending you this letter to offer my opinionsregarding whether we should change traditionallyunitaryteaching system into a tri-dimensional one,which has recently become a heated issue in your paper.
In my view, both traditional teaching and tri-dimensional one have their advantages anddisadvantages. While traditional teaching does have such limit as restricting students’ vision, itoffers a face-to-face communication between teachers and students that no other teachingcan provide. Similarly, while tri-dimensional teaching offers a more convenient way ofstudying, it will somehow make students more passive simply because they have noopportunity to speak out.
Personally I think it would be better to integrate these two teaching methods so as to fullyutilize their advantages and avoid their disadvantages.
